Japanese Konjac Sponge - Green Tea Natural Facial Cleanser

This is a very nice sponge.   I first tried Konjac sponges a couple months ago and now I am hooked.  has a rougher cut than others I've tried but, I think it is the best at exfoliating.  It also takes a lot more effort (water) to soften it up before use.

To use you need to rinse and soak the dry sponge with warm water until fully softened and expanded.  It should expand about one and half in size.  For the first use it takes a while to get it softened.  It make take up to 15 mintutes of soaking the first time.  After that it gets easier and quicker.

Soaking the sponge with hot or warm water rather than cold water will help make the texture of the sponge softer.  Cleanse your face with the water-soaked sponge daily or every other day.  You can also combine it with your cleanser to make the sponge even softer and to create a rich later.  Rinse the sponge with clean water afterwards.

Using clean hands, press the sponge gently in between palms to drain water out.  Do not twist, stretch or press the sponge too hard as it may damage the sponge.

Hang the sponge in a well-ventilated area to dry.  You can also keep the sponge in a container and store it in a refrigerator.  Now I don't have time for that and just hang mine on my medicine cabinet knob and my sponge is doing great!

With proper care, normally the Sponge can last approximately 4 to 6 weeks. Use extra care when handling hot water or sponge when sanitizing it. Once your sponge starts to disintegrate, change it with a new fresh one to obtain its maximum benefits!
